How can we expect a kid to run an offense that he has never run before?

Most High School's today run Spread and Read Options. AJ and BH have NEVER run a pro style offense, ever. How in the world can this coaching staff expect these kids to learn a system that they have never run in their entire life? It's pretty crazy. With the elite talent in this state, LSU could be extremely difficult to stop if only Miles would see this. College Football has passed him by. LSU HAS to run a Modern day offense to not only compete on the field but in recruiting. Do you think Dupre is happy he came here at this point? If Les does not comprehend this then LSU is in trouble. Look at Auburn, Fla. State, TCU, OM, Miss.State. Even Bama has stepped it up while the LSU offense remains a total disaster. With this defense, could you imagine what this team would be like if we had a high powered, fast paced spread offense? We all know Les will not change however.Pretty ridiculous.

It's not like they have a whole summer to prepare for who they expect to start. Oh wait, they do.

Analogy: You have gone to school for 8 years to become a Heart Surgeon. When you land a job you are then told you are now a Foot Surgeon.

Ding, ding, ding. LSU continues to recruit players that do not fit the program and will have very lackluster careers at LSU under Les' (Bo's) system. It doesn't make Les a shitty coach or a bad person, its just means he is loyal to Bo's system. Also to think you can take many of the skilled position players LSU has and somehow get them to perform in the current offensive system or even get them to see the field with the snap of your fingers is not realistic.

A 5 yard pass in the spread offense is the same as a 5 yard pass in a pro style. His accuracy is the problem.

The problem is the kid looks uncomfortable under center. This why he makes all these assinine mistakes. His pocket awareness is worse than Mettenebergers. The MF'er holds the ball too damn long, stares down his main target, his drop back is slow. You have to be fast dropping back and getting rid of the ball. He is a spread kid two years removed from HS that was used to sitting in the shotgun and firing quick passes. He can't even hit a 10 foot receiver right now because he's so damn uncomfortable dropping back. And Brandon Harris is pure spread right now and still learning, but his passing is much better than frickin Jennings.

It just makes no sense for these people to recruit these style of QB's when you are not using there strengths and retraining them in a frickin new system they are not used to. frickin idiots! And they continue to recruit these type of players! The Felipe kid is comin.

Exactly. Major offensive philosophy change HAS to happen or LSU becomes mid-level SEC Program.
