Anybody else shocked that Stanley Jean-Baptiste isn't playing at all?

I didn't like the pick when we made it because his draft stock seemed to be falling in the weeks leading up to the draft, but good Lord the CB spot opposite Keenan Lewis is a black hole of suck and a rookie UDFA (Brian Dixon) is playing ahead of him.

Is he really that bad?

It's pretty discouraging that the undrqfted rookie is playing ahead of him.

I was really hoping that he'd be this years Terron Armstead, but it's not looking very promising.

Almost have to bring him in to camp next year. If he struggles early he will be gone quickly though. Cooks is playing well and Powell contributes on ST. That's about it.

Richard Sherman didn't get a whole lot of playing time until around this point in the season in his rookie year.

A wasted pick. You don't spend a draft pick, much less a high draft pick on a project player.

Sherman started 10 games his rookie year. SJB hasn't played 10 plays yet.

Pretty bad that he hasn't played at all. I think everyone considered him a project. But as bad as we've been, you think he would have seen some playing time. I think he's already 24 years old too. Not promising.

You aren't accounting for SJB's playoff games

I'm not particularly optimistic about SJB, but the above is nonsense.

Not only that he hasn't even been active, but that they're putting in an UDFA in over him consistently.

He must be a gigantic bust.

He should be good enough for special teams.

The reality is we (and the Saints more than likely) thought Champ Bailey had one more year in him. Couple that with a returning PRob and a Corey White with tons of experience from the previous year; we thought we had a solid 4 with Keenan Lewis.

Add Byrd and Vaccaro patrolling the backfield and the secondary was loaded! Taking a project at corner wasn't a bad thing.

But then the season started.
