He's definitely winning in the race of most popular commissioner.

It should be. Way less harmful than slot machines

Voters in New Jersey overwhelmingly voiced their support for legal sports betting in a 2011 referendum. Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey recently signed a bill authorizing sports betting at local casinos and horse racetracks, a law the N.B.A. and other leagues have opposed
So why did he have the NBA sue New Jersey?

I like silver and the NBA. They're fairly progressive as a league.

I'm torn on this.
I think like the Cuban Trade Embargo, it is outdated and silly.
BUT, I think that legalizing sports betting nationally opens the door for lots of points shaving opportunities. Hell, points shaving probably happens now more than we could know. What if it was legalized everywhere?

The NBA is such an awesome league. And the old guys who gave up 10 years ago don't realize what they're missing.

Yeah well Vegas is never going to let this happen so we will continue to get fricked by offshore books
Posted on 11/13/14 at 8:47 pm to usc6158
Should be and all, but who reallly cares?
No one gives a frick that it is illegal right now and does it anyway.
Really makes no difference at all whether it is legal or illegal. People are gonna do it whenever they feel like it either way.

And I doubt Vegas gives a frick honesty.
Betting in an offshore book is just as illegal as a bookie or whatever that is local. All the same thing legally and no one really gives a shite whether it is legal or not.

They give a frick

Why? No one travels all the way to Vegas to bet on a game because it is illegal outside of Vegas. People don't give a shite that it is illegal. They want to place a bet they pick up the phone and call the bookie or hop online and place their bet.
They don't go and buy a damn plane ticket to Vegas.

Well I think Vegas counts on those people that go once or twice a year to Vegas where they plunk down their bets. That's still a lot of money because a ton of people go to Vegas.
That's exactly what I do, I go to Vegas maybe twice a year and I bet on sports when I'm there. If I had it at home I probably wouldn't go to Vegas at all.
The degenerates are irrelevant. Like you said, they will bet whether it's legal or not. It's about the casual bettor.

why is anyone who bets more than the "casual bettor" automatically a degenerate?
