We started the second half of the season

the same way we started the season. We lost a game in overtime by fumbling and a field goal. Next game against an AFC team from Ohio that most see as beatable. I'm sort of superstitious, and to me that's a terrible sign. IMHO this game on Sunday is a must win. Have we improved? But if you project our record we will be 8-8 and most likely win the division. The only thing we're consistent about is inconsistency.

We're at home and they look terrible. We win by 7

The 49ers looked terrible the week before as well. The NFL is a week to week league. You never really know what kind of performace a team will put out there

Only 7? Yikes... man how times have changed.
(PS I think you're probably right)

Not only that, but the 49ers always give us their A game. It's always a close game between us ever since Harbaugh became the coach.

I would be happy with an 8-8 record.
I'm not sure if this Saints team is good enough to go 8-8.
They look more like a 7-9 or 6-10 team to me.

how exactly? we look more like a 12-4 team for 90% of the games. but literally 1 play a game will win or lose a game and we have been on the rough end of those plays all season.
we will go 9-7, win the division, and win our 1st round home playoff game.

So basically we're the Cowboys of the past 10 years, right?

8-8 or 7-9 are just as likely.

win the division
Is that really an accomplishment given the state of the NFC South?

This isn't the Saints team from 2011 or 2013. They struggled against mediocre and bad teams at home. They are as likely to lose a playoff game at home as win one at this point.

Good teams know know to finish games, especially against inferior opponents.

Highly unlikely, but who knows, anything is possible.

So you ignore the shellacking of Green Bay and going on the road and winning at Carolina? Inb4Rodgershamstringistheonlyreason
We have more than enough talent to win playoff games, we just have to avoid that one breakdown that has cost us 4 games.

Cowboys were leading in 80% of their losses with 2 minutes left?

Basically we just need to keep doing what we're doing and hope that the ball starts bouncing our way. It's pretty improbable that in each of our four close games, the crucial game deciding plays would swing to the opposition 100% of the time. It's kind of an amazing run of bad luck.
