I know there was a thread about her asking for it, but looks like its going to happen.... How fricking pathetic are the Senate Dems. frick this count and her ilk.

Try to save face as quickly as you can Ms Piggy. The article also states that the House has voted 6 times to approve the Pipeline and will do it again as early as Thursday.

Party of NO?

quote:

But in recent days several Democrats and Republicans have cited authorization of the oil pipeline as a modest proposal that could be used to restore bipartisan cooperation in the fractured Congress. Party leaders agreed, saying it likely would come up early next year in the new Congress.

Landrieu, however, had other ideas.

"I don't think we necessarily need to wait until January," she said Wednesday afternoon, shortly after top leaders formally reconvened the Senate.

She eventually secured an agreement from Democratic and Republican leaders to hold a vote authorizing the pipeline as early as next Tuesday.

"Mary could not get this done in 6 years and as Chair of the Energy Committee. I got this done within 2 weeks of making the RUN OFF!"

Or, and I don't know how many votes he was part of.... But, "Bill voted for the Keystone Pipeline 6 times in DC, Mary has voted 0 and now that she is in danger of being kicked out of Washington, she decides its time to vote... Does she really think the people of Louisiana are that stupid?"

I'll make this deal, if she gets it through Congress and signed by Obama before Election Day, I'll vote for her.

I don't see what is to gain for anyone but Landrieu... The Dems have been against it and Mary saving her Senate seat does nothing to help them. They still don't hold the Senate.

What a pathetic sham to save the seat.

Democrats may let Mary vote for it but they'll never allow it to be passed as long they have the senate until the new year.

It is pathetic but, if it does somehow authorize the pipeline then that's a good thing. It means the elections forced a shift to the right and caused real change

It will sit on Obama's desk until Dec 7th. He will then veto it regardless of who wins in the La runoff. This is just a show for the "stupid American electorate"

I'd change the second sentence to:

I got this done, and I am not even IN the Senate yet. Imagine what I will be able to do for Louisiana once I'm there.

Again, no chance democrats pass it entirely.

They are still democrats.
