Do most people just not give a shite anymore? Except this "wave" of Obama haters that bothered to go out and vote?

General election voter turnout for the 2014 midterms was the lowest it has been in any election cycle since World War II, according to early projections by the United States Election Project.
Just 36.4 percent of the voting-eligible population cast ballots as of last Tuesday, continuing a steady decline in midterm voter participation that has spanned several decades.
The results are dismal, but not surprising — participation has been dropping since the 1964 election, when voter turnout was at nearly 49 percent.
The last time voter turnout was so low during a midterm cycle was in 1942, when 33.9 percent of eligible voters cast ballots.
Voter turnout during presidential elections is, as a rule, significantly higher. More than 58 percent of eligible voters submitted ballots in 2012 and nearly 62 percent did so in 2008. By contrast, only 41 percent of eligible voters voted in 2010 and 40.4 percent in 2006.
This year, Maine boasted the highest turnout in the nation, with 59 percent of the eligible population submitting their votes. Indiana had the lowest turnout rate, with 28 percent.

So...Obama and the Dems are free to ignore the outcome? That seems to be how they are acting.

When you realize they are all liars, and the game is rigged, whats the point?

Nothing suppresses voter turnout like disappointment in Obama's shitty policies.

Man. Some people are going to get some NASTY letters from Democrats for not voting!
I mean, the ones who are still living and didn't vote. The graveyard will just throw the others away.

You mean Constitutionalists or anti-Marxists.

This is the first time I've ever changed my school symbol. I'm going to be one of Bama's biggest fans this weekend. The cowbell crowd needs to be taken down a notch. Plus when they lose it will keep Ole Miss' slim hopes alive of going to Atlanta. That is of course contingent on UGA beating Auburn.

Maybe staying home is a statement that while they won't vote for the right, they won't support democrats based on recent performance.

The American electorate has never been more infantile. They care about pop culture and they only care about "issues" that the pop culture agitates for. They completely miss the bigger picture. They are too busy doing their nails to worry about the existential stuff. Basically they are like you except they are marginally less concerned about fabulous show tunes.

This is very understandable. There was no Senate race in Indiana and no Governor's race. All 9 incumbents won by double digits in the House races (one incumbent won by 13 points, the other 8 by 20 points or more). So it's easy to see why Indianans stayed home en masse.

The Republicans are free to ignore the fact that in 2012, the People decided that a Democrat should have Constitutional VETO authority from 1/13/2013 until 1/13/2017 ? THOSE VOTES STILL COUNT.

I'll give you a pass on this one.

Those People that voted Obama are the "stupid" that Jonathan Gruber is referring to in those tapes.

Of course Obama has veto power, now he will have to use it and show who the real obstructionist is. Until now, Harry Reid had protected him and he was able to get away with lying.

You do realize that the Wash Post works for the Dem party?

And it can be argued that just last week the People realized the mistake they made and sent that particular Democrat a clear message about how they feel about his unilateralism.
