So LSU signed the #1 recruit in the nation in football and basketball in the same year. That probably doesn't happen often.

Sure, they signed LOIs in the same calendar year, but they aren't #1s in the same year.

It wasn't. But there are still insecurities, justifiably so, on this board from #545 #ridefor5. Also it's teenage kids anything can change.

Well my way sounded good... So basketball you sign LOI the previous November for the follow year's September enrollment?

Yes. But does it really matter? We signed two once in a generation players in the same calender year. Just think about how incredible that is.

I agree, that's why I said it originally. I was also trying to think of other schools where this happened. I definitely think its a first for us.

UNC may have when Ronald Curry signed there.

ETA: I say that just because they always have good BBall recruits and I think Curry was #1 in football.
