It looks fricking retarded for hockey - the overhead videoboard isn't even centered above the ice, and people with obsessive compulsive disorders are going to go beserk with the lines not matching up on the ice and the aisles. And that left side behind the goal looks like the setup for a fricking arena football game in the SK center.

Yes, it's bad for hockey.
It's still 1,000,000 times better than the Nassau Colliseum and the team stays in NY and didn't end up moving to Kansas City or something.

I'm surprised Bettman didn't push them out the door to Quebec which will have a hockey specific arena ready to go for 2015. Figured Isles or Panthers would wind up there.

It looks better, but the atmosphere and the fans aren't the same in Brooklyn....this coming from a person who seen a game at both places.

Yeah but now the team can afford to spend more than the league salary cap floor and you don't have to overpay to get free agents.
I've been to Nassau a bunch and I will miss it, but it's been holding the team back for a long, long time. Wang, for his faults, did everything he could to get a new arena in Nassau county. Barclays was the only option that didn't involve moving the team.

Yes DS you are right. I don't know why the frick they have sucked since Pierre Turgeon got checked behind the back by dale Hunter. Bad luck and bad leadership. They used to be the coolest team in hockey - they are like the Boz with the LILCO line etc.... As a rangers fan I wish they were good again.
