stock Motorola/Google android 4.4.4.
amazingly smooth and a fantastic phone for your kids for christmas.
with android 5 lollipop not far out and destined for this device, i think this is a fantastic phone to get for your kids if you don't want to spend alot.
very happy with it. the only trick was purchasing a sim unlock code from that OLD MAN "Consumer Cellular" service Sears was selling this under. LMAO Also glad I was able to flash Moto stock android and get that other shite off it.
Phone lacks LTE but TMO gives you H+ service which is often faster so she won't miss it.
It was $2 to unlock it, took about 15 minutes to get the code and about 45 minutes to update it to vanillla stock.
The longest part of the process was sitting in the 'pickup' area at sears last night waiting for them to get their heads out of their arse and figure out where the phone was I just bought online. NOTE TO SELF: SHIP TO STORE isn't the greatest system Sears has going.
If anyone is interested in a really nice sub $100 android phone that will get Lollipop for their kids..this is a STEAL.
CAD is happy to walk you through the steps since he's taken the lumps already.

When my phone is in H+ it's extremely slow.

Really? What phone? T-Mobile? Mine is blazing fast when H.

So you spend 45 min in setup. Are you anticipating having to "fix" issues with this phone's software at some point? If so how long and how often do you estimate?

No. I'm done with messing around with it I think. Now that it's running plain vanilla stock I'll just let the android system updates naturally flow to it.
I've discovered it's a little bit of a pain in the neck to maintain rooted phones for other family members.
