Saints (4-5) have lost four games by three points or less -- two more than any other team in the NFL, according to ESPN Stats & Information data. And they've been leading all four of those games with less than two minutes left in regulation.

It really sucks. The talent is there. It's just a lack of execution. We could easily make the playoffs and get hot, but we cannot do that without learning how to execute when needed. For example, down by 4 points in the 4th and Colston dropped one of the easiest passes that would have made the game a lot easier for us to win... That can't happen. Then later on Brees missed a wide open Kenny Stills which again could have made it a much more winnable game. Again, that can't happen. It's the most painful year of football I've had to watch since 2007.

This team really needs to make a statement against a struggling Cincy team this weekend. They NEED to win this game since their division is the polar opposite of ours, so we have to come out with a W. Carolina and Atlanta play this weekend, and my gut tells me Atlanta is going to win convincingly. Believe it or not, they will be on our tails the rest of the way, so we have to win out from here.

Lack of killer instinct and ability to closeout close games.

Killer instinct is something this team is normally known for.

This is a good, talented team, despite the record. They need to get back their balls to step on teams throats. That's something I have always loved about Payton. We saw it vs GB and CAR, but we've seen the team fold even more so this year. I'm not used to that.

brett brees also pulled some magical maneuvering in the pocket to get some throws off which was saving our asss.

Rob ryan needs to hand over the defensive playcalling to someone else the last 2 mins o a game.
He is now 1 for 7 in these situations as a saint.

People forget that this is a relatively young team. Aside from Brees, strief, Colston, PT, Jahri, Grubbs there aren't many vets. This adversity will help the Vaccaro, Cam, Junior, Akiem, Cooks, Stills, etc in the long run

Honestly, that's kind of reassuring. It let's me know we're not as bad as our record says we are. This team reminds me of those superbowl Giants teams. Up and down all regular season then gets hot late and makes a run. I could see that happening here. Defense is much better than start of season, just need to feed ingram and cut down on turnovers. Drew, I'm looking at you.

It's frustrating because we are a good team. Dallas game aside, we easily could have won any or all of the Ls. If we can just learn to finish games and hold serve in our shitty division, we'll be a dangerous team come playoff time
