At least if you're smart that is. There are deals being posted by various retailers that are already better than or on par with BF and CM deals.

Amazon has already started over two weeks out.

People are dumb though so I don't expect many to understand this and will still trample over one another for that $99 32" TV. Too bad that TV only goes up to 720p and is actually $99 at other various times of the year.

There still MAY be a deal or two on BF or CM that are huge loss leaders for companies and worth it but they will always be very limited stock anyway that's the equivalent of buying a winning lottery ticket.

Will you be venturing out for BF? I am proud to say that I haven't done so in well over 10 years. Just not worth it IMO.

I did it once in college 14 years ago. Wasn't worth it then and certainly not now with the internet.

I also worked a Black Friday once when I was in college at Circuit City. It was madness but the cool thing was that Circuit City used to pay on commission. I remember making $1800 that day. Pretty good for a college kid but they had salespeople there that treated CC as a career. One guy cleared over $5K. He was a top 50 salesman in the whole company though.

BF is stupid. After reading about companies make cheap shite specifically for BF just to sell stuff super cheap I was turned off.

It's too easy these days to find an actual good deal out there.

Best time to buy a tv is Superbowl. True story. The deals you get there are on legit tvs, not noname offbrands.

Walmart has done this for years. Its why the item they sale may look the exact same but has a slightly different model number.

If I need to camp out to save $100 or so, I'm doing something wrong with my life IMO.

A few years ago I pulled up in the Best Buy parking lot at midnight as they were opening the doors and walked to the back of the line. Took me 15-20 minutes to get in the door, walked straight to get an Xbox 360, got a badass deal and walked out all in 30 minutes. I felt bad for all the suckers that had been in line for days
