I think resources may open up again with anticipation of his leaving.

Prices are coming down now that Republicans have taken Congress and now that Obama is a Lame Duck.

Prices will inevitably go back up. What will be the reason for that?

Prices are coming down because of the massive amount of crude oil available in the global market place

Has nothing to do with a republican congress and Obama being a lame duck. They've been going down well before the election results.

Shale and fracturing are the reason for the lower prices. We have a lot of supply on hand. That and a slow European economy.

I heard on. The radio this morning that prices are about to go up due to outlooks that oil prices are about to go back up

More to do with a stagnating Asian and Euro economy than anything else.

It also has something to do with ISIS selling a pretty substantial amount of oil on the black market for half of what legitimate regimes are charging. That's what sparked this price war with OPEC in the first place. OPEC is cutting prices to try to keep ISIS oil from beating them in the marketplace.

OPEC is only ramping up production and flooding the market because they've finally taken shale and fracking seriously. Shale and fracking are only economically viable at a certain price. The Saudis realize this and are doing all they can to get it below that price consistently before oil companies figure out how to make shale and fracking more efficient.
