With so many traditionally male names now being used for girls, I'm sure someone here has hooked up with a chick who has the same name as a brother or dad. THAT would make it even more uncomfortable.

Not a good answer for you but mom and wife have very similar names and have had some pretty interesting mishaps when texting and not realizing I hit mom's name instead of wife's.

No, have yet to actually find another female with my mother's first name. But I'm sure if your mom's name is Ashley, Brittany, Jessie, etc then it wouldn't be weird because those are common names.

My gf of 3 years and soon to be fiancé has the same name as my sister. It gets kind of confusing when talking to my parents trying to figure out which one we are talking about sometimes.

Oh my god. I have this weird thing where everyone in my phone has to be listed as "first name last name" so I could easily make that mistake.
