When we got penalized 15 yards on the unsportsmanlike, Landon Collins is signalling for a TIMEOUT. Not awarded. If they have a TO there that leaves them with 2. A lot more time would have been run off. Just wanted to point it out.

1. Sims did not play all that well.

2. Amari Cooper had several horrible drops...as did many other Bama receivers. Worse drops that we had.

3. Their kicker missed a pretty easy FG.

4. They tried to give us the game with Yeldon's fumble ... a fumble that we easily could have scooped up and waltzed into the end zone for the kill shot.

We had the game won. We fricked it up.

Bama had 3 timeouts. They called a timeout after 1st down, 2nd down, and 3rd down. If not, the clock would have started back after the penalty was marked off.

Come on, man!

Your number 3. I was yelling at the TV! Why in the world did he lay on that ball??? Easy pick up and WALK in to the end zone. That fricking game is definitely more frustrating than the last 3. Not near as bad as 1/9 though.

What does all that have to do with the OP's topic about the timeout being signaled for but not given?

Because we need to stop making excuses and crying like little bitches about missed calls, referees from Bama, etc.

Bama made many mistakes, too...including a CRITICAL fumble.

And we still fricked it up.

Hard to say we got screwed when we had the fricking lead with 1 min left against a team with zero timeouts and a long way to go.

Sometimes ... you need to point the finger in a mirror.

He was awarded the timeout.

We could not have run the clock out on that drive. Bama had three timeouts, which means they could limit the time we used to the 15-20 seconds of play execution. Since we could not get a first down, we never had a chance to run the clock down.

Had Vadal taken lessons from Adams on how to flop, the penalty is called on Bama, giving us another first and goal. This would mean that we could have run an extra 35-38 seconds off the clock and given the ball back to Bama with 20 seconds, and very likely down 7.

Oh well.

So because LSU lost the game, fans can't discuss things that contributed to the loss? Or can fans not discuss things YOU don't think contributed to the loss?

In reality - there are always excuses (or reasons) for losing a game. If you don't want to participate in the discussion of one of the possible excuses (or reasons), then don't. But don't lecture the OP about what constitutes an acceptable excuse (or reason) for losing.

Also, the OP never said there weren't any other reasons for losing the game.

/end of my lecture to "navy".

We did have the game won and we fricked it up. We had receivers like Trey Quinn dropping easy passes in his hands. Les Miles has NOT developed a QB all of his time here.

You can't say Mettenberger was developed by Cameron and Miles, Mett was pretty much a finished product and Russell was as well.

The truth is, if we had a competent passing game, this game would not have had to come down to he last minute given the way the defense played
