Highly Entertaining!

The Irish are really passionate about the sport.

There's highlights and full matches all over youtube/internet.

Anybody a fan?

(Instead of giving some of those idiot talking heads a 'show')

I can only imagine how many injuries occur in that sport. People running around and swinging bats at balls while at the same time other players are chasing them and reaching their hands out to grab the ball?

It seems like you would have at least one broken hand a game

the stupid log tossing game is epic (again, in spurts) also

I played a game called hurling in college….usually at 3:00am after having had way too much to drink.

I would be more worried about a broken face than a broken hand. There is no way I would play that without a helmet that had a facemask.

The last part of the video says that the most important thing is to be brave

I've watched a few. Actually have a stick used (and signed) by Cork's captain of a few years ago.

I prefer Gaelic football.

Hurling
Gaelic football
Rugby
and laugh at American Football

My housemate used to play and his brother was just voted to team of the year

He was saying he's dislocated or broken almost every finger, most more than once can do some wierd stuff with clicking them in and out etc. And broken hand/arms before along with a fair few concussions

I don't see how playing it at school isn't just an exercise in bullying
