I drafted Josh Gordon in the 14th round and have stashed him the whole season. Now the Gordon hype train is starting to heat up and I've had some "interesting" offers in the last few days. The most interesting one has been one in which I can't flatly reject.

He's offered Green for my Gordon. What would you do? I'm thinking about pulling the trigger... Green had a bad game yesterday, mostly due to the entire Cincy offense being terrible. As long as he stays healthy, there's no way that continues, particularly with the Saints on tap in the Dome next week. Gordon is what he is, but my only concern is that he takes a few weeks to get going.

For the record, I'm 7-2 and at the top of my league (Green owner is 6-3), so I don't need immediate help. Also, my current receivers are:

Nelson
Dez
Mike Evans
Edelman
Gordon (S)

Pull the trigger on this one, right?

A dirty little secret this year has been that AJ Green hasn't been elite even when he's played. With Nelson and Dez, I'd probably sit tight considering AJ's health and QB issues.

ETA: Now, if someone offers you someone who is truly elite, obviously, feel free.

As a Green and Gordon owner I was actually considering trading Green and keeping Gordon. My other receivers are DT88 and TY Hilton. So I wouldn't be able to keep and start them all.

I think Thursday Night was just a bad night though. The wind and Cleveland's defense had a lot to do with it. The Bengals have New Orleans, Houston, Tampa, and Pittsburgh coming up. There are some good matchups there.

I hate to blaspheme, but it might take Gordon a few weeks to get going and play a majority of the snaps.

Thanks for the advice though. I'll weigh it all.

To be clear, I don't think it would be a bad trade. It's just not one that I would personally make, as I think his upside is worth the risk considering the substantial risk AJ has attached to him. But again, I wouldn't consider it a "wrong" move.

As a gordon/green/Julio owner, I would love to get rid of green for sanders/maclin.

Besides TNF, either 100 yards or a TD in every game he played.

I just traded Maclin and Bennett for Jimmy. Maclin has a bitch of a playoff schedule

Maybe not Maclin, I'm not sure how "awesome" or awesome he's going to be with the Sanchize...

Green is injured and will be for the rest of the year

If you've held Gordon this long, why would you ever trade him unless you needed a RB and it was for a top 10 guy

Through trades I now have Forte and Jimmy to pair with Megatron and Cobb and Gordon. If that can't win me a championship idk what will 12 team PPR btw

My RBs are Lynch and Shady. TE is Gronk, and Brees at QB. I have no needs really.

I told the other guy I'll wait and see after Sunday. In case a receiver goes down or Evans shits the bed at my flex.

Had a guy in my league trade a package including Gordon for Lacy and fillers. He held him all season but needed rb help.

IMO, Green has had some decent games when healthy... or not healthy. He hasnt been healthy all year. I believe Cincy has an easier WR ROS for the most part. To everyone holding on to a dude who hasnt been able to practice with the team for the past 10 weeks, and expect him to jump up to elite status in a game or two, I think it's risky. No doubt, he's very talented, but how many times have we seen second season guys taper off?

OP, I'd really consider AJ and look at their schedules. Both teams are fairly equal in terms of QB play, except that AJ raves about that red headed crapshoot. That, and Gordon is a pisser away from solid bench warming potential. Id do it
