IF you don't know who he is, he's one of the greatest chess players of all time, from New Orleans.

I was watching Searching for Bobby Fischer (excellent movie) and i was wondering thorughout that in the movie, they didn't introduce enough historical honrable mentions besides Mr. Bobby Fischer. Anway I digress.

What actor would you cast??? As Paul Morphy, as his other rivals??? and friends? It was a tragic death for him but lived a great life changing the thinking of the world at that time...or at least some part of it

Probably because he retired from competitive chess at 22 and did, more or less, nothing for the rest of his life.

They basically did this story, though it's not biographical. It called The Luzhin Defense with John Turturro and Emily Watson, and is based on a Nabakov novel.

If you see only one movie about a disturbed, chess playing weirdo this year, make it this one.
