What's Rand Paul doing in a commercial that's rubber stamped by the Chmber of Commerce? LINK

I consider the chamber to be an enemy of the United States with their rampant crony capitalism and pro amnesty money trying to buy the GOP.

He also did ads paid for by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for Tillis in North Carolina, Sullivan in Alaska and Ernst in Iowa:

He's much more willing to be politically expedient than his father.

Whether that is because he is just another professional mafioso or is shrewd at playing the game to further the cause remains to be seen.

Hoping to change the system within the system is a fool's game, anyway. The way to curb/eliminate government is to provide better, cheaper alternatives to the services in which it currently has a monopoly.

This is what makes me hesitant about him, I get that you've got to play the game but it's too easy to fall in line with the "establishment" once you start playing by their rules.

McConnell also is intrigued by Paul's plans for 2016, when Kentucky's junior senator faces re-election to his Senate seat while potentially running for president. It's a safe bet that Paul won't be the only member of McConnell's GOP caucus who considers trying for a move to the other end of Pennsylvania Avenue.

Does that require a tricky balance? "(It's) not tricky at all," McConnell said. "Obviously, I'm a big supporter of Rand Paul. We've developed a very tight relationship, and I'm for him." For president? "Whatever he decides to do," McConnell said. "I don't think he's made a final decision on that. But he'll be able to count on me." McConnell acknowledged that Paul's position "is complicated," since Paul's re-election bid could suffer from the attacks that come with a presidential run, but he said he would reserve any advice he has for Paul for their private conversations.

Isn't it a law in KY that you can't run for two political offices at once?

Like, if Rand is going to run for President then he can't run for Senate?
