There are many things you can do outside of the main quest. You can race on horses, on boats, get into fistfights, hunt monsters for a living. There will also be points of interest, a new system that allows you to find something new to do, so that you can go anywhere and not be bored. The game will generate these random encounters in such a way that you can choose to engage in them or not.

I never played Witcher.

Picked up 2 over the steam summer sale. Still not sure about playing.

I think the countless hours I stuck into Skyrim still have me a bit bored with the genre.

Might give it a quick try this weekend.

It's very different from Skyrim. I would classify them as different sub-genres in the overall RPG genre. To me Witcher 2 has more in common with Dragon Age: Origins than Skyrim.

Damn I love these guys!

As CD PROJEKT RED, we strongly believe this is not the way it should work and, with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, we have decided to do it differently. Cutting to the chase, everyone who buys Wild Hunt will receive 16 specially prepared DLCs absolutely for free, regardless of platform. You don’t have to pre-order, you don’t have to buy any special edition to get them -- if you own a copy of Wild Hunt, they’re yours. This is our way of saying thank you for buying our game.

Witcher 2 is actually tough, unlike skyrim.

And the combat is actually fun, not mind numbing

I need to figure out how I'm going to be playing this... either upgrade computer or get a console...

Bloodborne heavily tilts the favor toward ps4...

It was so good. I didn't want it to end.
