so im getting killed this week by bye weeks. 12 team PPR, I'm 4-5 and in 7th place. There are 4 weeks left in the season.

how would you guys handle this? drop any of these guys? try and trade them? just take the loss?

QB Kaep
RB Forte
RB Jeremy Hill
WR Randle
WR Andrew Hawkins
Flex Keenan Allen BYE
TE Gates BYE
K Sturgis
NE D BYE

Bench

Gio Bernard Wont play
Andre johnson BYE
Gostowski BYE
McKinnon BYE
Oliver BYE
Josh Gordon SSPD
Lafell BYE

basically i need to fill a FLEX, TE, and D and I'd have to drop 3 of those guys to do so. McKinnon is 1st on my chopping block, but i feel like its not worth it to drop him when im 100% not going to drop 2 other guys. Gostowksi and NE D have been too good to me. They've led me in scoring some weeks.

ive explored some trades, and it's hard to trade people on byes. Im getting pennies on the dollar. Could i trade Forte? Maybe, but he has been so damn good.

as far as trading Gordon, most of the benches are pretty weak in this league. No one is going to trade a starter for him. So i could prob do a 2 for 1 and get 2 bench players back, but my chances of winning probably wont be any higher?

Im thinking im just going to eat the loss at this point, which is risky cause im fighting for a playoff spot.

there are only 10 RB's in my league with more points than Gostowski

and the waiver wire is bare. The top WR is rated #51.

top RBs are Antone Smith, Benny Cunningham, Cadet, Freeman

You don't drop Gostkowski. He's a top 50 players right now, including QBs and averaging almost 14 points a game. That's including his terrible 2 point performance on MNF.

People laughed at me when I said I drafted Gostkowski way early after I had my team set. That's a 3-5 point advantage over most teams every week

Drop your defense for a new one.

Drop the 2nd kicker

And I'd drop either Oliver or McKinnon. Probably Oliver.

if you are married to Gostkowski, drop both McKinnon and Oliver.

Yeah, that's tough.

I would consider dropping mckinnon, gostkowski, maybe oliver. Gostkowski is still just a kicker. I'd feel funny keeping two of them on my team. Maybe drop sturgis and roll without a kicker this week if you feel that strongly about gost.

Maybe see what trades are out there and try to trade one of your bye week bench players for a slight step down. There's no guarantee anyone goes for that though.

Just taking the loss is a definite option. Making a bunch of moves fora slightly improved chance to win this week doesn't help if you greatly decrease your chances the rest of the year.

so you wouldnt play with a kicker?

i kinda thought about that.

i just dont think the Waiver wire has players that can get me a win. And im usually good at finding a diamond in the rough.

What good is Gostowski and NE's D to if you don't make the playoffs?

I'm just taking the loss this week.

Its either that or drop Oliver to pickup a TE. Nah.

Yeah, I think a lot of the decision comes down to how legitimate of a shot you have at winning this week if you make some sacrifices. How tough is your opponent and if you can get decent acquisitions.

I dropped Patriots Defense. Bye then Colts. Playoff schedule looks great but the next few weeks is

I'm a Gostkowski owner and in first place in both league. I'm dropping Randle or Andre Johnson right before kickoff and keeping Gostkowski. And in the other I'm playing with no kicker since I can't drop anyone on my bench.

Well that's no guarantee you lose this week nor is winning out. I'd do what I can to improve my chances of winning this week and not be 4-6 and rely on winning out. I've been projected to score 120+ points in a standard this year and scored 60 and lost to someone who scored 70. shite happens.

4-6 points can decide a game each week. I like knowing I'm getting double digits from my kicker every week.

How many teams make the playoffs? I would drop McKinnon and Oliver to survive.
