You know the answer to this. One man Nick Saban.
Well when Nick Saban was putting together top recruiting classes that won those NC's in 2009, 2011 and 2012 he had the same amount of NC's to his credit that Les Miles and a less than successful NFL stint.

If Mack is coming along it will be to keep an eye on Jefferson and stay in his ear.

I don't know about that. Mack has seemed to really waiver towards the hot new team. If that's us on signing day, I won't complain a bit.

Well, we know one thing and we see it all the time on this board "if we can get them on campus then we have a chance". Add to that the atmosphere for this particular game and our chances increase.
"I visited and I fell in love with the place", it happens... even for LSU.

LSU stadium is rated best game atmosphere every year. The LSU vs. Bama ticket is a top ticket every year. The LSU freshman class is balling out now. If we can touch these guys with this oppurtunity magic will happen and Tigahs will be born. No other university has the stage set like LSU does. The game will be an amazing thing to witness.

Word on the street is we have a real shot with malik...need to wow his parents this weekend and really sell academics because it's between us texas and Baylor. Malik values personal relationship and so do his parents which is CLM specialty

I really believe he is the one that we can pull. I also think if LSU can wow Mailk he can work Mack.

If we get either one of them, I'd be ecstatic. But if we get both...J.E.S.U.S C.H.R.I.S.T

I love to hear this, especially after hearing how bad the A&M situation is getting right now. I have a good friend of mine who went to A&M, and ran the their REC center for 2 years in grad school, so he has some knowledge/connections in their program. He said the state of the program is bad. Said 1 of their running backs (T Williams I think) had a tweet last week saying something like "If it werent for NCAA transfer rules, half this team would be gone." I didnt realize A&M hit dumpster fire status that quickly, but he said it is bad. Which I love to hear knowing we have our eye on a guy or two. Cant wait!

I don't know what's worse. Him saying he has connections in the program, or you believing him. Dude everyone in America (except you) knew about that tweet 4 days ago.

What made A&M a dumpster fire. Unrealistic expectations? They lost 4 games/yr with Johnny Football. Players lost faith in Sumlin?

Dumpster fire because they just pumped a ton of money into their facilities, started recruiting at a high(er) level, started paying a coach 5 million a year, and yet, they still produce like Dennis Franchione is running the place. They put a ton of lipstick on a pig, but they still have a pig at its core. Aggies have always been a bit unrealistic with what/where their program is, but when Sumlin came in, and the JFF experiment went well, they really got overly confident. Its a very prideful school deep in their history and tradition, which created a lot of the hype too, but none of them saw their team being this helpless. Which is sad, because most logical people knew they could easily end up having a very bad season.
ETA: My buddy said the players view Sumlin more like a friend and not as their coach, and now that the winning and flash has subsided, their is a little bit of turmoil. Its rather evident if you view Kenny Hill, JFF, or Mike Evans throw a temper tantrum on the sideline, while Sumlin does nothing to reign them in. Coach first, friend second.
