Stand up and vote ad- Rosa Parks

I see that Stand up and Vote Louisiana ad at the top of the page has chosen Communist Party member Rosa "red" Parks as their shining example. Does anyone else find it troubling that they use her when she was a member of an organization that stood for the destruction of the west?

I don't get the hate for Rosa Parks. She's best known for an act of civil disobedience where she was morally right.
But it is kind of dumb to use her for a "stand up" slogan given that her act of civil disobedience was refusing to give up her seat on the bus.
