I'm guessing you mean at Magic Kingdom. That's good to know.

I'm gonna go ahead and say it...been to Disney once and absolutely hated it. Will never go back. I prefer the Carribean or somewhere similar if I'm gonna drop that kind of coin.

No ones going to bash you for saying that

I know plenty of people who don't like theme parks or Disney's style of theme park. Much more to do there, though.

My friend told me this week that they're taking me to Disney for my birthday, sometime in early or mid January. Odd choice, imo. But I've never been so I think that's why we're going.

Is there anything to do if you don't have kids with you?

And I'm not trying to derail your thread. I just saw it and got curious.

This is my line of thinking but I've never been to Disney.

I'm not the most travelled person on the OT, but I've been to the Bahamas, Cabo, Cozumel, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Florida Keys, etc before I went to Disney, and I would take any of those over a week of standing on my feet and in lines to see a bunch of man made mountains and a fake safari. Just my grouchy .02

Mostly restaurants, shopping, and drinking. And not all rides are meant for little kids like Soarin' at EPCOT or the Tower of Terror at Hollywood Studios. Some decent shows, too, like Fantasmic.

Gotcha.

Oh well. I'll go. I'm sure we will have fun.

Either you are a Disney Park-type person or not. For example, most hardcore Parrotheads are also Disney fans. If that's your demographic, you'll be fine there.

Awesome!

Other people's children annoy the hell out of me.

I don't have kids, so I guess that means that all kids annoy the hell out of me. As long as I'm not surrounded by screaming kids for 7 days, I'll be fine.

If you're with a good bunch of fun friends I'm sure it'll be a good time.
