Pretty sure LA is always some shade of blue or purple. Alabama was always red. Florida was always yellow.

I've seen different colors of Louisiana. My jigsaw puzzle of the U.S. map when I was little had a pink Louisiana.

I had a game/thing that looked like that, but each state had a little circle cut out of it, creating a window behind which were assorted pictures that would change as you turned the knob at the bottom. If you turned to 1, you could see all 50 state capitols and read a little fun fact about each. Setting 2 would be a famous landmark or something in each state. Causeway was Louisiana. Golden Gate Bridge, Grand Canyon, Mt. McKinley, Empire State Building, yadda yadda yadda. The greatest was setting 3, which was "most famous person from this state" or something. Elvis, Satchmo, Wright Bros., and for Alaska..."Typical Eskimo." I was only seven at the time but even back then I felt like something was horribly wrong.

I always pictured tornadoes to be a soft chewy green puff on the outside... with a neutral flavored yellow shell surrounding a red cinnamon flavored center in the middle.
