I normally listen to Rush for about 7 hours during the week. 2 hours some days, 1 hour some days.

This week is now over. I've listened for less 2 hours total for the week.

Want to guess why?

I'm beginning to think that none of you are Rush listeners. If you were you'd know why.

Yep. The entire week has been one long infomercial. A total waste of my time. But it did motivate me to cut a lot of brush and vines on my property that I had been putting off.

I agree with Rush 95% of the time, but the man is dishonest, and I am, therefore, alienated by him and shan't listen to his program anymore. I prefer to hear the words of a man with whom I disagree 60% of the time but exhibits scathing honesty and conviction, even when his views make me cringe and call him a fricking idiot.

Too many callers about how great his books are.

Last half hour is nothing but a long book review/commercial,.

He always has a 1 day promotion for his charity. I think it's lymphoma. So, I skip that day entirely. His first two books were irritatingly promoted but this third book was over the top cheap self promotion. Totally disgusting.

I have 2 friends at the gym who listen to Rush. They also said they gave up on him this week because they are tired of hearing about children's books.

I'm assuming that since Monday is the day before the big election he will ditch that crap and talk about the issues. So, I will tune in then.

You really think not caring why Zach has listened to his BFF less than usual this week = crap concern for others?

Dunno. To me it connotes a woman in a 1940 drama movie scene clutching the drapes while saying it. Come to think of it, I think we need more women clutching drapes while speaking. I've never seen it happen IRL.
