this

and saban has been very, very fortunate. Not taking anything away from him, but McCoy goes down in one championship game...and texas plays a freshman and barely loses......then another bama lucks out drawing Notre Dame.....but outside of 2011, they earned their way into the good fortune.

fricking 10 years later and idiot LSU fans are still obsessed with the previous coach. I wonder is there is another fan base as strange as the one LSU is unfortunate enough to have.

I mean the OP really brings out a whole lot of brand new information that nobody has ever heard or even thought of before. This thread will probably go over 5 pages because of the weird obsession.

and miles hasn't? only 2 loss team to make the championship game

I don't know why LSU fans don't like both of them. They both have done great things for LSU.

well, LSU earned their way in by winning the SEC Championship. I guess you could say they were fortunate to draw Ohio State though. I said Bama earned their way in outside of 2011....I also said they had good fortune....that being the injury in the texas game, and getting to play a scrimmage against ND......

I have no problem with either coach. I respect Saban. I just like Miles better and I'm glad he is at LSU.

LOL....and I know you actually believe this, that's the sad thing. He is a good coach. There are a LOT of coaches that could do what he has done with the talent bama can get. If he doesn't win the SEC this year, it will be 1 SEC Title in the last 5 years for him, despite having the top ranked recruiting class every year, and usually a scheduling advantage, and always an officiating advantage.

Miles is an ok football coach but is likeable

and then you throw then gem in here...he is an OK coach, who has just happened to win more than any other program during his tenure at LSU....good god.

Most excellent point. How many of those former coaches to whom you refer went to coach a bitter rival?

Lmao. What about the 20 years of coach flopping they did from Stallings to Saban? It's better to be realistic than a purple and gold blinded retard. I fricking hate Nick Saban. But he is one of the best college football coaches to ever live. That will never be said about Miles no matter how much you want it to be. Miles is a good coach, Saban is better. It's not really a topic that can be seriously debated. Unless you choose to ignore reality.

He left us for the Dolphins.

I don't get why all the CLM lovers would hate him...if he hadn't taken the best job ever offered to a head coach we never would have hired CLM.

I hate that he coaches the gumps. But i am thankful that he came to LSU and brought us to a level none of us thought was possible. After the 90's who really believed we would compete for a national title?

You do realize that Bama has had 4 out of 5 #1 overall recruiting classes, right?

So many of you who down grade Les' accomplishments due to some perceived "talent" advantage should be saying the same about Saban, no?

Noy really they were gonna smoke the bucks anyway....

Hey they destroyed ND. ND deserved to be there based on their record.....

They should not have been in the 2011 NC game. Okie st. should have been. LSU got screwed by having to try to beat Bama twice....

Uhh, that's what great college football coaches do. Then they develop them, mold them into a unit, and go compete for championships every year. When you see a coach that does that consistently you can say damn, that's a great football coach. Feel free to hate him for leaving LSU and being a smug dickface, but I wouldn't let that get in the way of the facts of the matter concerning his coaching ability.

Fine. Miles is a great coach too. Just not as great as Saban. Unless I've been hallucinating the last 8 years.

I don't care what kind of personality a coach has as long as they win games.

I would prefer someone like Les who appears easy to get along with and play for.....but its not necessary in the grand scheme of things.

My boss is a total jackazz with marginal social skills but runs the company like a well-oiled machine and gets results.

I don't socialize with him or live with him, therefore I don't care what he's like outside the office.

What is then, who is the most likeable? That's less of a debate than who is the better football coach.
