Danny Owens, women's coach for William Carey in Hattiesburg Ms, would be a great hire. He is a proven winner, great recruiter and is a huge LSU fan

If you don't care about the sport, don't open the thread. Not that hard.

Women's soccer is different from many sports and needs to be evaluated differently.

Rosters are usually loaded with freshmen and sophomores because the girls burn out.

They've been playing since they were 4 and once they get to college it is no longer fun.

LSU is the only school that has these problems?

they're getting back their key player next year (who was out for most of this year) and have tons of young talent

yeah how is he recruiting well yet sucks.

that sounds like coaching to me.

you could also argue he did more with less his first 9 seasons.

Did he lose an assistant or something? the whole trajectorymakes zero sense. I also admit to not really following the program that closely

Right. That was my point.
I was agreeing with him.

Not at all. I was agreeing with you that it may be time for him to go, but I don't know that there is necessarily a decline since the whole thing resets every 2 years.

I see. I just think that there is no way LSU should have a piss-poor record like 5-13-2 in any sport in any year. Soccer should be a sport where LSU should be able to compete nationally. Brian Lee says it himself in his bio on the LSU website: LSU is the sleeping giant of college soccer. Well he has been here 10 years and we haven't even made it to the Sweet 16 yet. 4 total NCAA appearances and only 1 in the last 5 years.

Maybe he gets one more year because he has been a good citizen, hasn't gotten the program in trouble, and graduates his players.

I'm just throwing him a bone to see if he does anything with these past two classes

I'm still football through and through, but it's about damn time we get a men's soccer team.

Massive growth potential

I don't think LSU could get a coach like Danny from Carey. Dude is a proven winner at the college level and from Baton Rouge but I beleive he has turned down other big d1 offers. He has great recruiting base and is #3 in The country. Although maybe being LSU he may.

It's because they run the ball and aren't efficient passing the ball.
