If Louisville beats FSU, do they storm the field? How would you feel about it? How is it really any different than what we did last week?

Stop being sensitive about it. Storm the field when you want. People who carp about it are stupid.

When was the last time Louisville won a national championship in football?

Storming the field is ok if:

A. You have no history (or your history was 30+ years ago) and you beat a highly ranked team (and you are the underdog in the game)

B. Immediately after winning a championship

C. Immediately after winning a place in a championship game

ETA: Also, if the school is fined, the fine should be added to the fees of the students who attended the game

I agree. I did it once in 97 when we beat Florida. It was something I'll never forget. Why should kids today not get to make a memory?. I'm sure the players love it too.

I watched it happen Saturday and it looked like mostly students stormed the field. I had a talk with some of the fans around me about the appropriateness of storming the field and we concluded students can storm the field and celebrate with their fellow classmates after a huge win. They only get the chance to do so maybe once in their college life.

Yes. Good for them. We have won 2 NC in last few years, but F it none of our students were there when it happened.

Well they are 23-3 the last 2 seasons with a sugar bowl win last year. Rankings are basically the same as our game last week. I guarantee if they win tonight, they will storm the field and not One of their fans will bitch about it. Lets those kids have fun. '

They do.

Got to rush Kyle Field my last game as an Aggie student when we beat Nebraska 9-6 in 2010. One of the sweetest sports memories I'll ever have. Have to be a pretty miserable/bitter person to be adamantly opposed to it as some are.

Seniors in the LSU student section were in 9th grade and Freshman in 6th grade the last time LSU won a national championship.

I have memories of 6th grade, and I'm older than those people. Poor excuse. AND those seniors were all at LSU during the last LSU NCG.

I'm also willing to bet that 70+% of the LSU fans defending storming the field were against storming the field this summer.

I was at the game and not that many people came from the other sections.

but I'm sure you know more from one picture than I do from being there and watching the whole thing happen
