A lot of jealous cry babies ITT...

FGL is what it is. It's catchy, feel good music that caters to a crowd that probably doesn't take music as seriously as most musicians. I like them for what they are but I am not confusing them with Eddie Vedder or someone anytime soon.

If AA put out something feel good and catchy I'd like them too if they would just get over themselves and realize most people don't take music as seriously as them. They're just jealous FGL made it big time and they didn't. There's a reason they're a top group right now is because they're catering to the masses, people that don't wanna contemplate lyrics and its hidden meaning when listening to music which is the majority of listeners.

FGL gets it, AA does not. The general public would eat them up too if they came out with better shite. Real talk.

what a laughable stance
AA do just fine touring. you whiff on what is important. art and self respect.

FGL has neither. they'll be looked at in the future as a fad in country like we look at korn and limp bizkit in rock.

AA has plenty of catchy music.
they aren't hick hop.
they aren't laundry list bullshite nashville pop.

there's obviously people that like that crap, but it's marketed to a certain demographic. there's literally groups that are brought in and asked what kind of songs they want to hear, theme's, topics, etc. marketing teams.

it's corporate, soul-less tailgate bro dude party music. frick that.

FGL = AC/DC with hick accents.

I can see how people like to party to it, but how is this in any shape or form COUNTRY music?

ahh, the go-to line unsuccessful people use. Let's get real for a minute, just like any other profession, they do it for money ultimately. They may wanna keep their art and self respect in the process, but don't kid yourself. They're in it for the money.

If AA's 1,000 biggest and most loyal fans asked them to play a show for them for free, would they do it? You would think these people above all would appreciate their art and self respect, but would they play for free for their biggest fans? Probably not. They'd wanna get paid.

AA are selling out every show in europe they are playing right now. they've been at this for 9 years. they've gone through divorces, slept on far too many floors, have had everything stolen from them, including their mode on transportation while on tour, lost members, and still have kept on doing their thing.

it's a living, and they enjoy it. they make music that is authentic and comes from them. not some producer or songwriting team.

it's not. it's hip hop beats with 80's rock guitar and a fiddle mixed in.

it's pure shite

This is where you and all of the music snobs of the world are wrong. Music is subjective. You may hate it and that's fine. Millions disagree. You sound butthurt, not me.

FGL is what it is. AA is what it is. By defintion, BOTH ARE MUSIC

wonder how much the fortune 500 paid these guys for all the product placements in their songs?

more corporate logos in their music than a nascar fire suit.

8 product endorsements in 4 songs.

some examples:

“…she looks so good in her silver tabs…”

“…a bottle of bacardi black…”

“…drop down the top of the pontiac…”

“…that fireball whiskey whispers…”

“…brand new chevy with a lift kit…”

“…turned on those kc lights…”

“…silverado candy painted…”

“…ray bans got the whole world shaded…”
