Luckily it was early enough and not crowded enough that the bartender was able to "prove" it to me...

He proved it to you by quickly switching his fake one with your real $10 and stealing your money?

got a weird looking $10 for change in the French Quarter on Mardi Gras day back in college, I started to try and dump it, one of my buddies advised me to keep it as he was sure it was a silver certificate, turns out it was, I still have it

I hate you for not knowing how to express $100 correctly.

I've never seen a conterfeit $10. I kind of thought that would be too low a denomination to be worth it. I've seen a few counterfeit 20's and a 100.

In college a coworker cashed his paycheck at some convenient store type place, and one of the hundreds was a pretty convincing counterfeit. It really sucks as a poor college student to have a big chunk of your paycheck taken out like that.

One of the guys that worked at Armored car company got burned for $100 by a Panera Bread company.

She bought about $2500 in change from him, then told him to grab some bagels. When he got back, he quickly counted cash she gave him and then bolted. Got back, turned in his grip, fricked for $100. He skimmed over cash, never checked for fake stuff.

He could never prove it was her, but he said it was obvious, by the way she was offering anything to him out of case. Usually they would ask what kind of bagels u wanted for free, this time shes offering anything they wanted.

Similar thing happened to a friend of mine. Who knew carnys carried counterfeit detector pens?

Thankfully my brother was smart enough not to be a part of it. I'm sure those dudes that were busted will be followed for life.
