Jeb Bush talks about running for president in 2016. Donors seem to love him. Can he overcome his last name post-Obama?
Could you support him? What are his ideas and beliefs? If anyone has the time to research his ideas and beliefs, please post them. I'd love to learn more about him. I was the biggest Bush basher around from 2004-2008 - I was a fan during his first term but not his second. I could potentially see myself supporting Jeb in 2016.

I'm not in the Jeb or Christie camp, but the amount of rustling that will occur if one of them gets the nomination should be legendary.

Nothing in politics surprises me anymore. You would think that by now everyone in this country would be tried of the names Bush and Clinton.

The Bush family is a bunch of damn over achievers. Just one dead girl, a pile of drugs, a botched lobotomy, and a few tragic deaths would bring them up to the level of the Kennedy dynasty.

Would open the door for a legitimate third party candidate. Not saying I know who that would be, but it would certainly fuel the fire.

If anyone other than Rand Paul or Ben Carson is the GOP nomination, prepare for another Clinton in the White House.

All of the other candidates would not be able to get anyone other than hardcore conservatives to vote for them.

You are out of your mind if you don't think Ben Carson would sweep the minority vote over Hilary.

Rand Paul has a legit shot.

I don't think Ben Carson is a big enough a-hole to run a successful campaign. A Carson campaign would be Romney part two.

Are you fricking serious Clark?

You believe Ben Carson would win a majority of minority voters against Dem Hillary Clinton? I would bet you all my rupees that would never, ever happen.

Carson would get, at most, 20% of the African American vote. And that's being very generous. He'd probably perform about as well as Romney with the Hispanic vote.

While I think it would be higher considering how little Obama has done for the African American community, if Mitt Romney had received 20% of the African American vote instead of 6%, he would the POTUS right now.

ETA: And Hilary wouldn't receive near the amount of normal minority support that Dems receive with a minority as her opponent.

If a Gary Johnson type is out there that is where my default vote is going.

It will take a very special pub to talk me into making an exception. Most likely Rand or Carson.

She'd still get 90% of the AA vote so yeah it might cost her 3-5% at most
