Internet People who Try to Sound Smart, BUT

don't really have much in terms of accomplishments/merit to back it up with.
this is a long-running thing i've seen in the half of my life that i've spent online. the internet is the war zone of the quick wit and razor-sharp comments. the lulz can get you internet fame (and girls). however, there are a lot of fricking losers on the internet with an extremely highly inflated sense of their own intelligence (and self worth)
take this thread on faces everyone who works in retail makes
most of these are not that funny. maybe i don't get them b/c i have never worked in retail
however, perhaps i don't get them b/c i have never had to work in retail
plenty of people are smart without going to college. plenty of people work retail in high school/college. working retail (and not going to college) does not guarantee that you are no intelligent. however, the internet has a much higher ratio of retail employees who were not smart enough to get into college compared to successful people who have demonstrated their intelligence across the board
if you go on other forums that have a large slant towards liberal groupthink, you REALLY start to see this. go start a thread talking shite about raising the minimum wage on most reddit forums and you will see a slew of people who act as if they are the smartest motherfricker on earth...who barely graduated from high school and work in some dead-end min wage job.

What about the ones who graduated from college but don't have a clue or posters who see a thread subject and Google it then act like they are an expert on it

one of the best definitions of intelligence imo is this:
(2) : the ability to apply knowledge to manipulate one's environment or to think abstractly as measured by objective criteria (as tests)

What about the ones who think they are the biggest fricking know-it-alls in the world and argue anything for sake of argument?
