Love this guy. The coaches are FINALLY allowing Beckwith and Adams to play and show their talent. That's my only frustration with Les & company. All Summer the ranters were saying these 2 studs had to play and play a lot. It took a few games but how obvious was the talent differential? Very obvious IMHO...

You're frustrated because you're ignorant. Do you really believe that the coaches waited too long? That what was apparent to you was somehow missed by the coaches who watch them practice every day? Holy cow, you're arrogant if you believe that.

Rant over - Jamal Adams is amazing. This guy finally allowed me to forget Landon Collins. I wouldn't trade them. Even though LC is a great player, and is more physical than JA, Adams is much more natural in coverage. It's amazing how great LSU has recruited the defensive backfield over the last dozen years.

I may be frustrated but nothing close to ignorant. DJ is a good guy but not even close to an SEC caliber player. Maybe for a mid-level program but not LSU style player IMHO.

I don't think lc is much more physical. I don't think we have seen anywhere near his best football yet. I also believe that by the time he leaves lsu you may change your mind about that statement.

Beckwith, yes...Adams, no

They've done a really good job of bringing Adams along. It's not easy throwing a true FR in at safety. They did a good job of bringing him in for simple coverage and blitz packages and then transitioning him in to a starting role.

ETA: I think Adams should be returning kick offs too

He's too valuable, as are any of the starters. It should be someone like Avery Peterson.

What about the Hootie Jones? Adams was the target and the meltdown from Hootie leaving. Of course, most evals of Hootie was that he was more suited as LB and coverage skills were suspect.

I'm assuming you thought it was a bad idea for Odell, TM7, PP7, and Chad Jones to return kicks/punts as well despite being game changers back there?

Agreed on the kickoffs. Started a thread last week on it and got hammered.

It's just blind ignorance. He was really good returning kicks in high school and he has that playmaker spark that a lot of great college returners have.

I know the coaches like the idea of having him back there, so maybe it will happen next year when McGee leaves.

Just continues to prove your ignorance of the situation within the team.
