Hope all the Les Miles haters are enjoying a plate of crow. I'm not even an Lsu fan but I know Les Miles is a smart coach. Maybe not in the past on clock management, oh gawd it was terrible, but as all good coaches do, he took time to regroup and evaluate his strengths and chose a direction geared against Ole Miss.

Bottom line, it worked and the team rallied. This, coming off his mothers death. He ran a bulldozer right at Ole Miss, stopped for a minute to drink some gatorade, looked over at Hugh Freeze, thought to himself "I can make this ugly if you want, punk" then proceeded to stroke that voodoo doll. The Lsu vs Alabama game is gonna be damn fun. Ain't this just typical of the sec, don't count on, nor count out anyone on a saturday football game.

Miss st fans never complimented us after victories during our 14-game win streak against them. Now they are #1 and everyone is good.

Eta: stil gave ya an Upvote.

Why should Msu fans compliment you during that stretch when you were head and shoulders better? Especially during the Croom years, bless his heart.

As stated on another thread, until we hired Dan Mullen we never had an offense except running the ball. When power teams know all you have is a rushing attack, it's pretty easy to stack the line and get your offense right back on the field to score points. Our defenses flat out wore down. But you see the difference now. Not just because we beat you this year but last year for 3 quarters the lead changed hands. And 2 years before that we had it first and goal on the Lsu 2 with seconds to go for a win. Chad Jones made a spectacular play just enough to deflect the ball to a wide open TE in the endzone. The gap between Msu and Lsu has been closing, but before then we had no reason to compliment you on a game we knew we'd lose.

Thanks for the upvote, and I hope you guys go all the way. I'm just pretty sure you guys get beat pretty bad in Tuscaloosa, as much I'd prefer you win that one. You have a good team, and definitely slapped LSU in the face when they went into the game thinking they would walk all over your typical MSU team. You guys definitely caught us napping.

I would love to get another shot at that one now that the season has gone on and you know to prepare for state.

bbesse, all I can say is every saturday in this league is full of surprises. In fact, now that Msu and Ole Miss have great coaches along with an Arkansas program surely on the rise, the west is in a league of its own. You tell me one conference that has overall what we have within a single division of the Sec west this heavy in talent and coaches. NONE!

I don't think Bama is going to beat up on State. I think that will be a pick it game (not in the line, but in fact), and I'd favor State on a neutral field. Good luck; I'll be rooting for you guys.

I don't like our chances at Alabama either. Feeling is mutual. I would favor us at home against them but that's not in the cards for Msu unfortunately. I think the entire west is wide open with exception to Arkansas and A&M. Unreal, just unreal.

You look at the west, top 5 teams. Only 4 have one loss and as much as I hate to admit it, Msu will have at least one also. That makes for the most incredible stretch going forward in SEC history as far as I'm concerned. From here on out, every west team will be watching the outcome of their fellow west teams week-to-week lol. Amazing!
