Why is a relatively unknown state politician from Louisiana cutting ads for a US Senate race in North Carolina?

Can you answer the question without reference to race?

I didn't know anything about Sen. Guillory so I looked. Here are his own words about why he chose to be a republican.

LINK

There isn't ONE WORD in that short video that the left can dispute. Not a single one.

BTW, surely you are smart enough to realize that politicians cut ads for each other all the time. Your statement only solidifies what Vol and others are saying. How dare blackey come off the plantation and speak out. It really makes you look silly.

no, but that is a stupid question for this discussion since he is trying to speak to people of his race

that's like saying "why are we talking about ole miss this week? can you answer without reference to football?"

I had a low level Democratic operative in Louisiana tell me to my face that his party wanted to keep blacks down, so they could depend on them in elections.

This was in Mr. Guillory's district. So deny it all you want. It is a reality.

Does anyone in NC even know who he is? I imagine a majority of people in Louisiana don't even know who he is.

Why is he cutting ads in a state where he is virtually unknown?

Conservatives want people, all people, to be self sufficient, not rely on the government. They want people to get a good education, not an education from the streets, have access to good job markets in a thriving economy driven by the private sector.

Democrats want everyone to be dependent on the government. And yet conservatives are the ones that are accused of being racist. shite like this makes my blood boil.

Does that make his message any less factual or less relevant to the fact that he believes Democrats are harmful to their most loyal voting base?

because he is a person of color trying to tell others of color why the DEM party is bad for them, in his eyes

it's not exactly common, with such a monolithic voting bloc. only 5% of the entire black population of this country doesn't vote DEM

then reduce that general population to those who have experience in government dealing with Democrats, and there simply aren't that many people

Maybe because the message is more important than the messenger. Who cares if he is unknown as long as his message is relevant?

Guillory has more guts and bravery in his little finger than you will ever have in your entire being. To make the stand he has and to put himself out there against the entire democrat machine as a black man will be a price he will have to pay for the rest of his career and life.

The hate and death threats and type of ridicule that man gets in the community because of his "decision" has nothing to do with being a " flip flopper" and everything to do with principle. If you seriously think the decision to go from D to R was for political gain you have no grasp on the big picture at all.

His video about switching parties became popular/widely known. It even showed up over here.

I don't think you need to exactly know who someone is when they articulate very well exactly what is going on. His message isn't about him it is about his community.
