It's a classic sports moment, where the fans of a team join that team on the field and celebrate a great victory with them? Why is this, according to the Rant, considered to be the ultimate classless move? Why is it considered to be the most dangerous, reckless, and thoughtlessly crass act that a fan base can engage in?

It's not. It's for losers (of the game) to feel better about themselves. It's for the "better fan" to talk down on others.

I'd say because the players and coaches are a little nervous about it. Classless? Nah, but it can be a little dangerous.

Classless is the shite Spurrier did to teams in the 90s.

Storming the field requires no thinking or logic. If the emotions tell you and 40,000 others to do it, it's the right choice.

I don't consider it classless. I just would like to keep something sacred. You start rushing the field for ever win over a top 10 team when you are a pretty good team yourself and it loses its meaning. We have only beaten 1 #1 team in TS in 90 years. Why do we need to ruin the act?

Not much you can do when 20,000 people decide to head to the field and you are right in the middle of it

It isn't!! Classless is leaving the field before the game is over ie... Bo Wallace!!!

Its not classless. We would not have done that if we scored those first 2 drives and just kept them from coming back afterwards.

That was such a nail biter of a game from start to finish that everyone in that stadium was running high on emotion for 4 hours.

I never heard of it being called classless. I just know championship programs don't do it because every win is expected.

I've got some news for you buddy. LSU is not a championship team this season. The field rush was an outpouring of emotion from a close game we were not expected to win. DWI.

this team and the fans were told THOUSANDS of times since the auburn game that the team would go 0-8 in SEC play... being on the field was a big celebration
