After bye week this looks like a completely different team.. Although we lost to Detroit we completely dominated the game and just had an unfortunate collapse in the last 5 minutes. And last night was as good a performance I have seen since the Carolina game at home on Sunday night a year ago.. Maybe could even date back to some of the games from the 2011 season.. That was a dominant performance.. Hopefully we can keep this thing rolling!

If PRob and White continue playing with confidence we will be hard to beat. PRob was absolute shutdown last night and obviously White showed out.

The offensive line played considerably better. I'm still not sold that it was them entirely, Green Bay did not look sharp on defense last night. Couple of goofy decisions by Mcarthy really helped the Saints out also. I knew when we went into the half tied up we were going to win that game, there was no momentum by GB coming out in the 2nd half.

All-in-all this was a great confidence booster. GB is a good team, and we are going to have to win against a handful of good teams from here on out.

If we beat Carolina we've turned the corner IMO.

But it doesn't get easy even if so…

@ Carolina
San Francisco
Cincinnati
Baltimore
@ Pittsburgh
Carolina

those are all playoff caliber teams (except Carolina, but they seem to have our number). If we lose to Carolina twice they obviously win the South again.

You should wait for two data points in order to make a trending observation like that.

Turning the corner needs to be Thursday. This was another expected win at home under big spotlight. Winning on Thursday will prove we are ready to make the long run at this.

Yea our Oline looked great. I still feel Goodwin is the better option at C when he is healthy. Lelito looks good for the most part and I don't believe C will be an area of need next year. Give Goodwin all the time he needs to get healthy.

I would say that Detroit (our 2nd best game of the year) and last night (best game of year) are definitely 2 data points trending in the correct direction.

If we can get a consistent pass rush, effectively run the ball, and get turnovers this is a very dangerous team

Cincy Baltimore and Pitt are all 8-8 type teams IMO. San Fran is also weaker this year than last. Carolina sucks I can't believe you would even consider us losing to them at home.

Of our next 6 games, this Thursday is definitely our hardest IMO. I predict we go 5-1 though to put us at 8-5 headed down the home stretch where we will have already clinched the division. I could see us losing @chicago then resting starters @tampa with the 3-seed locked up.
Finish 9-7 and steamroll our first playoff game. Miraculously win round 2 on the road then host the NFC championship game against the 5th seed Seattle.

Dont know what youve seen to lead you to believe that baltimore is an 8-8 type team, or that we can go on the road and win consistently against carolina and pitt

We only have to win 1 of the next 2 road games. And we are finally playing football like we thought we would play football all season. As bad as it's been this year we had an 80+% chance late in the game to win 3 of the road games. We will pull it all together Thursday night.

Not until we win on the road. This was the best we've looked all season though, but it was in the Dome.

Wait until we can win an away game, then we can start maybe talking about it. I just think until they can dominate outside there dome, there not going anywhere imho!

Turning the corner to me is winning this winnable game on the road against a division rival on a short week. If they can beat Carolina and play solid, mostly mistake-free football then I'll think they've turned the corner.

don't know yet. I want to see how payton handles the backfield in the next few weeks before I get excited, but hopefully he understands what was obvious to anyone with half a brain who watched last night

our defense makes plays when the other team feels like they need to score on every drive, and they will need to score on every drive if we bruise with ingram and set up the play action over the top, with graham opening up the intermediate throws

Still that annoying half-game (because of the tie) behind Carolina. Once we hit that, and pass them, then we have rounded the corner for sure.

we dominated detroit performance wise. just not on the scoreboard. I realize plenty have no concept of that on the rant but i expect better here. all they can understand is whether it is a W or a L.

and while not dominant we had the atlanta and cleveland games. it is not like they dominated us all around. Hopefully our record will begin to indicate performances very soon. It starts thursday night!
