An outstanding pitcher is one of the coolest things to witness in sports IMO. I just thoroughly enjoy a great pitcher doing work.

It really is insane.

What Bumgarner has done this World Series is as impressive as anything I've seen in sports lately.

Bum and Hershisher in 1988 are the best things I've seen in sports.

I'm not kidding.

Most dominant...more than Jordan, Magic, etc.

I never thought I'd see someone like Hershisher again in the playoffs.

But what Bum did was epic.

Dude needs a statue.

2001 Randy Johnson is only thing I've seen similar. He did his against a loaded Yankee team in the steroid era so I might give him the edge.

Still incredible series by Bum.

2001 Curt Schilling was even more dominant than Randy.

Dude pitches 21 innings in a single world series and gives up 1 run doing so. Basically winning the Giants 3 of their 4 wins in doing so. You probably have to go back to when they pitched guys until their arms fell off to see anything remotely close to that IMO. Probably the best pitching performance in World Series history.

I think so. I should have clarified my earlier comment, that schilling was more dominant than randy throughout the whole 2001 postseason, not sure if that's true strictly looking at the WS.

Unit was 3-0 with a 1.0 era and 17 Ks in the Series.

Schilling was def the horse for most of the postseason though.
