There have been a few struggles, but damn it's been a great run!

It's a generality.

Like when some future coach loses a game.

I hope there arent many opportunities to say that, but yea I we fail at a 4th quarter comeback, that will definitely be spoken. The current Les Miles detractors will be the first ones to say it, too because then they will be (insert future coaches name here) detractors.

took me a minute to figure out what you are saying...but I agree completely...

his quirkiness is maddening, but to find a replacement that is more effective will be almost impossible...

Great observation.
Whoever down voted is a bandwagon fan.

I agree. People are rarely truly appreciated until they are gone.

I agree and I doubt Les will be in coaching 15 years from now. I hope I'm alive to see it.

25 years isn't a bad goal. Wasn't that how long Bear coached Bama?

Bobby Bowden coached until he was 80, but he probably should have quit about 5 years before he did. Seems about right.

Solid thought, even more solid post. You're completely right, but there will always be fire Les threads by negas after a tough loss.

Exactly. Assuming he's not still coaching in 15 years, people will be saying after a loss "(Current coach) sucks, we quit in the 4th quarter. Les would've come back on 'em."

He's going to need to start beating Bama a little more for that statement to be general in application.
