I'm dealing with insomnia never tried it and need to know if anyone has tried long term. what were your experiences?

ETA: I've tried exercise, no caffeine, jerking off, melatonin and all that bullshite so save the advice, I need sleep.

I felt my wife get in bed before and we have been divorced for years. She also turned on the bathroom light for me.

Pro you will sleep. Con you will embarrass yourself many times. I have said the weirdest shite while on it. I tried to get my wife to "make out for two hours" the other night. I have no recollection of it.

It worked for me for a while then quit working. Started taking restoril. Works like a charm. Only had one or two hallucinatory experiences and they weren't that bad.

It is addictive (even just psychological) and don't let a doctor tell you it isn't. Plus ,over a long period of time of repetitive usage, you build up a tolerance and have to take more. My wife was hooked on that shite for 8 years because of her insomnia. Got to where she had to take 2 a night for it to work. And even then, it was never as good as it was the first 3-4 years she was on it. Took it every fcking night.

On the upside...the sex is phenomenal on it.

Make sure someone prevents you from getting up and leaving your house as well.

When I was in college and would be stressed, I'd pop one before bed because a guy named Jake would appear and would offer me advice about life. Stopped taking Ambien and haven't seen Jake in years.

THIS. She rearranged our bedroom one night totally asleep. I sat there and watched her and laughed.

Really? I was floppier than an Italian soccer player when I'd try to hook up on Ambien.

Warning. Actual advice and not OT advice.

Pro: Works like a charm for some people and is a wonder drug for them.

Con: HIGHLY addictive and not to be used long term. Makes some people do things like talk, walk, eat, etc with no memory of actions. Can be dangerous for those folks.

You just need to figure out which category you fall into.

wow, I've never heard of stuff like that, it just makes me sleep, I don't have sleep problems but I do so many circadian flips at work, sometimes it's just time to sleep, that's when I take it
