Shaq Thompson, OLB, 6-2, 231, 4.56, Jr, Washington
"Anxious to get to their playmakers closer to the line of scrimmage, the Huskies moved Thompson to linebacker after he signed with the team as a highly regarded safety, and the move has paid off brilliantly with the instinctive and athletic defender emerging as one of the top defensive playmakers in college football, scoring four defensive touchdowns thus far this season. Thompson possesses excellent athleticism and awareness in coverage, traits that project well in today's pass-happy NFL."
I'd love to have this kid and pick a up corner in the second round or a veteran in free agency

Only if he's a project.

Isn't MLB more of a concern than OLB? Thought our OLB's have been pretty decent this season...

True in more of the base 3-4. I'd rather Ryan stick to the 4-2-5 and have 2 Athletic Linebackers that can play in open space.

I feel you. I'd be cool with this guy or Bernardrick McKinney since he's 6 ft 5 and has been good coverage and run stopping.

Mckinney would definitely be another I wouldn't be opposed to drafting. He's a thumper and would kill a lot of those crossing routes making the Qb have to throw a lot higher than usual

Two words for future MLB:
KENDALL BECKWITH
Already a 250 beast who can move
He could start for the SAINTS today.

no, he couldn't....
he's making plays for LSU, but he's still got a lot to learn about the position...

I like Beckwith a lot, but this is as premature of a statement as they get. Give him a year more or two to see if you can stay healthy/play consistent ball before drafting the dude.
