I hope he does...I hope he gets a few series a half....I'm not against it. I just think there are a lot of armchair qb's that think they know more than the coaches.

You and whatever analysts you are listening to are complete morons.

If Harris plays, we are in trouble.

Riddle me this.. Has the offense gotten better? No, run game is better than what it was, but it was also against a poor run defense in Kentucky and a Florida defense who has been on the field all year. Jennings sure cant throw it well, neither can harris right now. So why not play them equally or close to equally?

Is it just possible that Harris had improved since Auburn?
Does he deserve another chance perhaps? Fking a right he does....AJ has gotten the benefit of the doubt....jus saying.

He has been at every practice since Auburn.....I'm assuming.

that Harris needs to play significant playing time in this game as he can hit intermediate passes

Did anyone watch the Auburn game? Harris could not hit the side of a barn from the inside. I know it was his first start and he was nervous and excited but shite. What have we sceen when he was in games that makes you think he can come in and play right now?

Jennings cant either. Your point is invalid.

Jennings will need to break off some good runs.

I think Miles will have packages for Harris and he will play.

so I'm guessing that's why we never see any roll outs.
We rolled him out probably 20% of the time in the last two games. Especially FL.

or how about a play action pass on 1st down, etc.
We throw it 20 times a game, I would imagine we throw it on first about 4-5 times a game. I guarantee that we go play action on over half of those.

Geesh.

and that Jennings need to have green light to run the damn ball a lot
Jennings has the green light to not get sacked and run the read option. I don't really know what the frick we want to see him do.

We run it 50 times a game and throw it 18-20....IF we are doing well offensively. AJ having the ball in his hands and making all the difference only occurs on a handful of plays a damn night. The same for BH.

Yet 70% of this Godforsaken board talks about who the QB is like it matters.

as have the coaches. without giving away information, I'm sure you realize what miles has alluded to on a couple different occasions. I'm not against you on this...I think Harris is our future, between the two qb's....but I'm just not sold that Harris should be starting right now....I do wish he would play a few series each half.

So neither can throw, but everyone is up in arms about which one we trot out there, hell the analysts say that it will make or break the game.

I will tell you what will make or break the game, solid defense, good special teams, no turnovers, and establishing a clock controlling run game. Like every game that Les Miles has ever coached at LSU. If we get gutted up the middle, and we cant run it we will lose, and by a good bit. If we run it and stop the run, we will win this ball game.

100% correct, if we get down and Jennings doesn't move the team or makes some read errors, we will see BH...it will not matter other than to keep the heat off of Miles arse.

We didn't see him against KY because everything went our way. You don't change your personnel when things are going your way.

this....it's like people never learn...this is a winning formula, and I don't care who you are playing. If LSU can complete a few passes for first down here and there.......they will be tough to stop...over time they wear them down...IF they can do this...which has always been the Miles way....

The problem is we haven't been able to complete key passes for first downs on a regular basis and this puts the running game at a distinct disadvantage,.

AJ also hasn't lost or turned the ball over in the games against UF and UK. He also delivered on a clutch drive to help beat UF. I'm not saying the guy has been outstanding over the last two games, but he hasn't really done anything to warrant him sitting either. Plus, the last time we saw Harris he was an absolute disaster against AU. Why would the coaching staff want to put him in in a game that was close (UF) or one where LSU as a whole was playing well (UK)?

It is abundantly clear that Les and LSU do not want to have to rely on the QB to make plays in the passing game to win the game. Now the situation against OM this Saturday may warrant a different approach depending on the circumstances in the game. However, as far as we know Jennings may be doing exactly what the coaches want him to do "not lose the game."

If LSU loses Sat. it will be because the defense played poorly and the coaching staff was reluctant to fully trust either QB to make plays in the passing game that might give LSU a chance to win.

I agree. But I'll tell you what....if I'm OM's Defensive coordinator, I'm loading the box and I'm gonna MAKE Jennings beat with his arm....because I don't think he can do it. Heres hoping he can if need be.
