Because it does a great job of blocking the sun and keeping all of my expensive electronics hidden.

I'm BARELY over the legal level.

-Keeps my truck cooler
-Allows me to get road head without onlookers
-Less sun = less UV damage to my interior

My dad gets his pretty much blacked out. I hate it.

Is Oler's in Lacombe still open? I used to hand him a $20 and he would hand me the book and say write your own sticker.

Serious answer: go to the most ghetto place you can find on plank rd. come in with $20 on your hand and be prepared to hand it over for any questions

my wife doesn't care, factory tint is dark enough for her, plus you don't have to go through that BS every year, not to mention always being a target to get a ticket

Several options:

1) Find the right guy who will do it.
2) Get a rejection sticker every month, costs $20/month and your time. How much is that tint worth to you?
3) Fake a rejection sticker with colored construction paper and a magic marker/copier/printer. The rejection stickers are not very counterfeit proof.

It's a bullshite law...

Last time I checked, only the width of the windshield strip and the tint of the front windows mattered. As long as your strip wasn't wider than 5" and the tint wasn't darker than 20% (I think it is 35% now), you could pretty much spray paint the rest of your windows black and be fine.

I used to have 5% all the way around. I miss it...running with just stock now. There was a guy on Antioch that would inspect it for me every year. I would leave the windows down when I went and he would always wait til the end to roll them up, after he put the sticker on and be like "Oh btw, that tint can get you in trouble, but since you have the sticker already on there's not much I can do tee hee". He did this like 4 years in a row for me without me having to say a word.

I think you should peel it off - get it inspected - then stick it back on.

Listen Up Peoples:

Look at the difference-
Here is an Inspection sticker from EBR, WBR, Iberville, Livingston or Ascension Parish
(Note the special emission test sticker):

Here's a regular Inspection Sticker like you'd get in St. Tammany or Lafayette or ALL other areas of the State other than Orleans Parish, Westwego or Kennah, brah
(note that there is NO Emission test sticker):

You CANNOT get a sticker for a vehicle that is registered in the EBR metro area without the appropriate Emission Test sticker and be legal. A sharp cop will pick that up and then it's on.

Good call, I remember them telling me I needed to get emissions because I had a BR address on my license, but I didn't
