Frying corn on the cob

My friend said her neighbor shucked the corn, after cleaning it up... he dropped the cob's into hot grease and cooked them that way. He took them out, added salt and pepper and butter

She said it was excellent!

Anyone else do this?

I asked if it was greasy as shite and she said not at all once it sat for a few minutes

You could deep fry an iPhone and it would be delicious. I'm certainly not a health nut, but I don't see the point in this.
