Yay or Nay?

My logic is that Lacy will be more consistent in the long run. I'm leading my league and want to have consistency in the playoffs.

jordy has been as consistent as you can expect

lacy has been consistently not getting 100 yards and not scoring a lot of TDs

Just curious, why do you think Lacy is going to become a consistent RB?

This deserves a follow up like... "What can I say? Cocaines a helluva drug!". No way I would do it. Make him add a decent WR to the pot, but I would hold onto Nelson with a death grip.

I'm just bias toward Running backs in the playoffs. Bc there I know they have about 15 - 20 touches coming. Where a certain defensive scheme can take away a stud receiver. Clearly the reverse could be true (i.e. RB taken away). But I've seen it happen the other way to often.

So you're considering trading one of the most consistent and elite WRs for a RB who has trouble putting up decent numbers vs terrible defenses?

Nelson:

averaging about 15 points per game with only 2 games under 12 points that were very early in the season. Has also had 2 20+ games this season (all standard scoring)

Lacy:

averaging 8.9 pts per game with 4 games of 5 or less points, only 3 double digit games this season (24, 11, and 13) and is splitting carries with Starks

dont trade nelson for lacy

Seems like a desperate move, but no clue since you dont post your league size or scoring

Nelson is outscoring Lacy right now with 1 catch a game. That's over a 3 game stretch for Lacy too

Man it's your team, do what you want. Most of this stuff is all speculation and luck anyway. There are a lot of 'feelings' you can't quantify in FF. People like different players over others. It is the nature of the game. If you want Lacy in the long term, go for him.

However, there are some things you can quantify (somewhat) in FF and that's current value. Current =\= future value (speculation). Currently, Nelson has more current value than Lacy, especially in PPR. You should be able to make a better deal for yourself to get Lacy.

Play with your gut and do what you feel is right. NO ONE, not even the almighty Fantasy board can predict the future

Why would you trade him for Lacy? Why not get an elite RB like Murray, Bell or Forte?

I offered Lacy, Ingram, and Desean Jackson to try to get Jordy. Still waiting on to hear back.
