Growing up in the Midwest you don't get much coverage of the SEC or LSU, but in the 2010 season I became a huge fan. I was finally able to come down to BR for a game, South Carolina in 2012. The atmosphere was unbelievable and electric. I was curious to how this game's atmosphere compared to memorable games at Death Valley (03 Georgia, 07 Florida, 12 Bama).

This game could go down like that South Carolina game. We had struggled in the weeks before the game. Many thought USCe defense would shut down our offense.

Not as big of an atmosphere as the great games because it was South Carolina and though they were #3 their name recognition isn't that greatest.

People were also down about the Florida loss going into the game.

But once LSU came out playing tough the crowd got into it and it turned into a pretty raucous crowd.

It was probably the second best home crowd / atmosphere of this decade outside of Bama 2010. The stadium was really into it.

Nothing will ever top 07 UF in my mind. Specifically, when the PA announced Stanford beat USCw.

I was thinking this as well. Ole miss coming in as number 3 in the country just like South Carolina. LSU looked horrible the week prior against Florida but Jeremy Hill exploded onto the scene was unreal

Probably one of the best games as a student at home that we have won was the 2012 SC game if you are talking about stadium atmosphere and crowd involvement. 2012 Bama was awesome but the ending was not unfortunately

I was amazed about how friendly everybody was. My passion for LSU has gone up so much since 2012. Can't wait to see another game in Death Valley.

one of my favorite games as a student ('10-'13)

it had that certain tension to it where we had struggled for two weeks, and Carolina had beaten UGA 35-7. I was in the middle of the two camps between us getting blown out, and having a legit shot. For whatever reason the crowd was into it from the get go. Also that was Hill's semi coming out party

Exactly what was being said. Couple of differences though. The LSU D had under-achieved somewhat and that night they stoned a supposedly efficient USCe offense, in particular their running game. And offensively, you had Mett playing efficiently enough to keep the DB's honest, opening up running lanes for the Tigers. Still, I agree LSU is improved enough to hang with OM if they execute up to potential and avoid turnovers.

That game was one of the loudest I had the privilege to be in attendance for. It was consistently loud all game and there were also big moments (like the hill run) that had the place going crazy. It was an all around awesome atmosphere.

I would rank them

1) 2007 UF

2) 2012 Bama
3) 2012 USC

I can't comment on the 2003 UGA game as I wasn't there. But from what I am told, it is right up there with 2007 UF.
