What is going on with the NY Red Bulls? I feel like I saw something about them going through some issues.

Outside of Henry possibly retiring, I'm not sure what you're referring to.

Statistics point to it that its literally a dying sport.

This is patently false. Teams are thriving in their regional markets. There aren't the big-time nationwide stars or national ratings in the MLB, but to act like teams and, in turn MLB, is struggling is way off.

There were rumblings a few weeks back that Red Bull wanted to divest themselves of team branding outside of Austria, starting with New York.

It was squashed pretty quickly, but where there's smoke, there's fire, etc.

WTF do we have to copy those dumbass European club names? Chivas USA? Reyalllll Salt Lake? Sporting Kansas City?

Typically when a team name is "Sporting", they have multiple sports under the same banner (soccer, basketball, etc.). SKC is planning on doing the same thing. I've read that they want to add lacrosse and some other smaller sports.

Chivas is a team that is in the Mexican league. The Chivas USA owners wanted to try to capitalize on the Mexicans living in LA so they branded the team as the American extension of the Mexican club. Needless to say, it has failed miserably and are being forced to sell the team which will then rebrand.

Sporting KC IS a sporting club. Not just a soccer club. They also have lacrosse and maybe basketball (can't remember). Overall, I agree.

Chivas USA has been a massive failure. It's a sister (sort of) club to Chivas de Guadelajara in Mexico. The idea was to attract Chivas fans/Mexicans and bring them in. They just forgot to realize that Chivas is but one club in Mexico and they're just alienating non Chivas fans. It doesn't help that LA Galaxy is also one of the most popular/successful clubs in MLS and is in the same city.

"Bayern Minneapolis" that is inauthentic and dumb, and Americans will be able to sense that.

You realize there are other Bayerns, right? It just means Bavarian. So yea, it would be really dumb to have a Bayern Minneapolis and it wouldn't make any sense since MN isn't in Bavaria.

Look, do y'all want a baseball team or not?

It seems about as simple as that.

No, I do not want a baseball team in New Orleans.
