If our defense plays as well as it did last game, we probably stick to the run. If we get behind we may be forced to pass more. We keep those big backs coming at them, even big, bad landsharks gonna get tired. I think we run effectively against them. Kevin Sumlin would probably like to have our problem. Amirite?

I would say you took too much Viagra- nothing left to perfuse the brain.

A lot of it depends on the play of C, LG an TEs. They have been wildly inconsistent this year. And in some games their blocking has been flat out terrible. I would keep a close eyes on the position rotations. If the starters are having troubles with their responsibilities of who to block or are getting whipped at the point of attack, we may see some substitutions early.

OM is not Kentucky. We have to throw to free up the running lanes. We won't push them out of the way.

While Ole Miss ranks #6 nationally vs. the run, consider their opposition:

OPP - Rush YPG - Rank
Boise State - 194.0 YPG - 43rd - ran for 135 yards on OM
Vanderbilt - 109.9 YPG - 116th - ran for 107 yards on OM
ULL - 192.8 YPG - 45th - ran for 193 yards on OM
Memphis - 195.8 YPG - 42nd - ran for 23 yards on OM
Alabama - 223.7 YPG - 26th - ran for 168 yards on OM
Texas A&M - 151.6 YPG - 83rd - ran for 54 yards on OM
Tennessee - 94.0 YPG - 120th - ran for net 0 yards on OM
LSU - 220.9 YPG - 28th

LSU is 44-4 under Les Miles when 1 RB runs for > 100 yards.

This is the kind of game that #7 can start to really make a name for himself, build off what he did vs. Florida.

This is LSU O rushing vs. its toughest 4 opponents against the run;
& OM D vs. its toughest 4 opponents rushing

Game 1 - LSU vs. Wisconsin (#22); OM vs. Boise State (#43)
Game 2 - LSU vs. MS State (#25); OM vs ULL (#45)
Game 3 - LSU vs. Auburn (#26); OM vs. Memphis (#42)
Game 4 - LSU vs. Florida (#23); OM vs. Alabama (#26)

I expect OM to stack 8 guys in the box to stop #7. We need AJ to make accurate throws to back them out of the box or we need to hit the hole fast to get upfield. OM has a veteran secondary and while we have tremendous skilled players, our QB's ability to read a veteran defense with ball hawks (and OM ranks #5 in turnover margin) does not favor us. We need to run the ball.
