Sports Illustrated’s myriad allegations of misconduct within the Oklahoma State football program were “fundamentally unfounded,” according to a joint statement released Tuesday by the NCAA and an outside consultant hired by OSU.

The SI series was published in September 2013 and alleged improprieties including payments to players, sexual favors from the Orange Pride support group, academic misconduct and rampant drug use.

“After a thorough review by the NCAA enforcement staff and an outside consultant hired by Oklahoma State University, allegations of misconduct in the Oklahoma State football program as reported by the media in September 2013 were fundamentally unfounded.
“Although a few individuals outside the university refused to cooperate, investigators reviewed approximately 50,000 emails and interviewed nearly 100 individuals with Oklahoma State’s football program, including current and former coaches, administrators, student-athletes, students and prospects.

The NCAA and OSU have no reason to be biased in this report

Thayer Evans trying to sell Magazines.
OSU trying to keep their shite together.
Based on previous track records, Ill believe that Evans is the one with more incentive to fabricate things.

The only reason Evans wrote the article about OK St was because he couldn't find anything on Les Miles at LSU. He was still pissed about the Tyrann Mathieu stuff. He went to Stillwater specifically asking guys to give him dirt on Les Miles.

The NCAA sent a warning letter to OSU saying that they may have committed some major violations.
Saw that 30 mins on ESPN ticker.

I just remembered how SI pimped this report for an entire week, releasing a different part each day... until shite hit the fan and they held off on releasing the final report.
Then in the middle of the week Yahoo Sports came out with an actual story (with tangible evidence!) about Bama players getting checks or something. Wonder if the NCAA ever looked into that...

The NCAA couldn't look into that because no one would talk to them and they don't have subpoena power.
I'm not sure what was so funny about my previous post though. Anyone who has ever read anything Evans has written knows he picks his targets based on personal vendettas, either his own or whichever schools boosters willing to pay him. (He's admitted publicly that he doesn't see it as a conflict of interest to recieve money from one school to try to dig up dirt on a another.)

Someone needs to make Staples an offer and get him away from that hideous website and their shitty writers.
