And at some point these guys, if they didn't intend to rape anyone obviously, are going to figure out even if she changes her mind later a piece of arse isn't worth the grief that will come afterward if she initially said no.

That's the first thing I thought too. I know the dude's scared but, if he's innocent, he probably made his lawyers job a little tougher by saying this.

I know him. Really nice person. I don't know if he drinks or not, but I would guess no. Doesn't seem like the type. Don't believe he raped anyone for a second.
